Wisbech Residents Boost Army Funds
The group raised more than £2000 for the charity, which provides soldiers and their families with financial support in times of need.
The fundraising coincided with the Royal Anglian Regiment’s charity walk titled ‘All the 4s’, where a team from the 1st and 3rd Battalions walk 150 miles, in 10 days through four regimental counties. The team arrived in Wisbech on the 17th from Peterborough and continued the next leg of their walk to Kings Lynn, where they arrived on Sunday 18th July.
Speaking about the fundraising, Horsefair manager, Kevin Smith said: “Shoppers at the Horsefair have been very generous and I’m very pleased that we have helped to raise funds for this excellent charity.”
