Wisbech Lions Club has organised a Duck Race between the Freedom and Town Bridges in Wisbech to raise cash for local schools.

Shoppers and residents will have the opportunity to buy a duck to race in the event on Saturday 23rd May when Wisbech Lion’s Club will be at the Horsefair Shopping Centre,ducks will be priced at £1 each.

Speaking about the upcoming event,Horsefair Manager,Kevin Smith said:”The Lion’s Club has come up with a great idea to raise cash for the local schools,I’m sure the race will be a huge success with children and their families.”

The race will take place on Sunday,24th May at approximately 5pm,the winner of the race will receive £200 and the runner up £50,all the children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
