The Horsefair Shopping Centre is fully supporting the event and is appealing to local businesses and shoppers to donate items, anything donated will be used as prizes at the event therefore any items contributed will need to be in good condition.

Many of the Horsefair’s retailers will be donating prizes and the Centre’s Kodak Express store is kindly acting as a drop-off point for anyone who wishes to donate gifts.

Patricia Benifer, event organiser, has run a similar event in the past for Macmillian Cancer Support and raised more than £1250 for the charity, she said: “I have already received many kind donations of prizes for the upcoming bingo event, my personal goal is to beat the amount raised last time and with the support of local businesses and shoppers I think I might just do it!”

Speaking about the upcoming event, Horsefair Manager, Kevin Smith said: “I am so pleased that the Centre’s retailers are supporting this event, it is for such a worthy charity, I am looking forward to helping out on the night too.”

The event starts at 5pm and the bingo will begin at 7:15pm, attendees are being encouraged to arrive early as there will be stalls selling nearly new linen and toys, a prize tombola along with a variety of refreshments.
