Shelley is a psychic medium and spiritual artist who carries out personal commissions. After holding a 30 minute recorded reading, Shelley creates a painting using the recording as her inspiration.

The unusual style of work is the latest art to be hosted by the Wisbech Art Space, which is run in association with the Horsefair Shopping Centre and Red Barn Creative, a local arts organisation, to show a variety of art to the people of Wisbech using local artists each month. The Art Space recently exhibited Yvette Cobley’s very eye-catching chicken sculptures.

Lorena Hodgson, curator of the Wisbech Art Space said: “I have long admired Shelley’s work and am pleased to be able to show it to the public. The colours are vibrant, healing and each painting is different with an individual meaning for the recipient.”

Kevin Smith, Manager of the Horsefair Shopping Centre, added: “I’m really enjoying helping Lorena and being part of the Wisbech Art Space. We often get people stopping us while we’re setting up, to ask about the display. It’s becoming quite a talking point each month”.

Shelley’s work being shown in the Wisbech Art Space is a mixture from her personal collection as well as pieces that have been loaned from her customers.
