Wisbech Town Centre’s Spooktacular Halloween Event!

The ever-popular Halloween fun day is returning and, by working in partnership with Wisbech Town Council, its set to be bigger and better than ever before!

On Saturday 31st October from 3pm to 5pm children will be able to take part in the free Wisbech Spooktacular Trick or Treat event that will be based not just in the Horsefair Shopping Centre but will also span across Wisbech town centre for the first time.

Children taking part in the trick or treat fun will need to bring a collecting bag as they will be able to visit over 60 local businesses and shops that are based in the town centre which includes the Horsefair, High Street, Hill Street, Union Street and around the Market Place, who will all be waiting armed with free goodies to giveaway.

This year, instead of a map, children can easily spot the businesses involved as they’ll be waiting by their doors and displaying a poster in the run up to the event.

Horsefair Centre Manager, Kevin Smith, commented: “Our Halloween event has been growing for many years now so much so that we’ve invited local businesses in the town centre to join in and they’ve all been incredibly keen to be involved. I can’t wait to see to see all the little horrors running around the town!”

There will also be a fancy dress competition that will be judged by the Mayor of Wisbech at 4pm on the market place with a prize being awarded to the best boy and girl in the scariest costume.

Additional attractions will be taking place throughout the town centre including free activities in the Horsefair such as spider mountain, a fairground ride, balloon modelling, the chance to get up close to owls, as well as a display of creepy creatures from the Fangtasia Reptile Emporium inside Argos!

Children are invited to take part in the fancy dress competition at Wisbech Town Centre’s Spooktacular Halloween Event.
