Proposed Plans for The Horsefair

NewRiver, the long-term owners of The Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech, are working on future potential plans for the centre that would enhance the existing offer for the local community, as part of a wider strategy to regenerate the Centre.

Elements of the existing centre are outdated, and in need of investment and reconfiguration to make it fit for purpose in order to better serve the local community. NewRiver are exploring options to reactivate long-standing vacant or under-used space to provide a more attractive offer for local people, complementary to the existing operators.

At this stage, various routes are being considered, and one such route could include the potential demolition of the existing multi-storey car park. It is intended that a significant volume of parking spaces would be retained for use by shoppers and the local community.
