Store Manager, Glenn Hyam, wants shoppers in the area to feel reassured that it has not been selected as one of those to close and will remain open for business as usual.

Since the story appeared in the national press Higham has been told that some shoppers are reluctant to buy because they are worried that they may not be able to return purchases if it closes.

Glenn would encourage shoppers to come back and visit and said: “Now we know that this store is definitely staying open we can look forward with our new owner EWM Group to offering our customers the products, prices and service they’re used to. They should feel completely confident that we are staying put.

“We’ve got a great range of summer clothing and accessories in store now and shoppers can expect the same high levels of customer service that they have come to expect since we opened the doors over a decade ago.”

Horsefair Manager, Kevin Smith, said: “Local shoppers can feel reassured that Peacocks will not close and remain, as it has been for so many years, an integral part of the Centre.”

Assistant Store Managers,David Goodwin and Carole Turner,are pleased that their store is remaining open.
