Horsefair Puts Shoppers’ Safety First

The Horsefair Shopping Centre is now reinforcing its message,that the Centre is a cycle free zone,cyclists who ride through the Centre could receive a £30 fixed penalty notice enforced by local Police Community Support Officers.

Wisbech,PCSO,Michelle Poulter said:”This issue is becoming a danger to shoppers and we will pursue any offenders,residents in the town have expressed concern about cyclists riding through pedestrian areas,this scheme aims to prevent that and ensure the safety of shoppers.”

Horsefair Manager,Kevin Smith said:”I have been increasingly concerned about the amount of cyclists who pass through the Centre and welcome this new initiative.”
