Horsefair Car Boot Sale Helps Raise Cash For Local Lions Club
The Horsefair Shopping Centre held a car boot sale, which helped to raise £392 for the local Lions Club. More than 20 pitches were taken up on the day and the sale attracted a large number of visitors.
Horsefair Manager, Kevin Smith ran similar charity car boot sale at the Centre for the Help for Heroes charity in May.
Kevin recently presented a cheque to the Wisbech Lion’s president, Kevin Rogers (right) and vice president, David Smart (left) at the Centre.
Kevin Rogers said: “On Behalf of Wisbech Lions Club I would like to express my gratitude to the Horsefair Shopping Centre for donating the proceeds from the event, the cash raised will be put towards our local events. We would also like to thank the stall holders on the day and shoppers for making kind donations.”
Wisbech Lions Club helps the local community by holding events throughout the year to raise funds for local schools, the elderly and much more.
