Horsefair Art Trail At This Year’s Rose Fair
The Horsefair will display a trail of 20 selected pieces from local artists in store windows throughout the Centre,as an additional attraction for visitors during the town’s Rose Fair celebrations.
As visitors make their way through the Centre to view the artwork,they will discover some fun facts about each artist.
The display is a snapshot of Atelier East’s fourth annual Summer exhibition at the Angles Theatre,which runs from 1st July to 1st August.
Karen Harvey,co-ordinator of Atelier East is pleased to be sharing the selection of artwork with the community and visitors alike.
Karen said:”Having the opportunity to display the pieces in the Horsefair will enable us to reach new audiences and share the artist’s work with local people plus encourage other local artists to get involved with what we do.”
Speaking about the upcoming event,Horsefair Manager,Kevin Smith said:”I am very pleased that the Centre will be displaying the artwork for shoppers to enjoy during the Rose Fair celebrations.”
The Horsefair will display the artwork from Wednesday 1st July to Saturday 4th July,on the final day,children visiting the Centre will be able to enjoy a free fairground ride from 10am to 2pm.
In addition,the Centre’s Paperbox store(formally Card Warehouse) will be offering tasty strawberry teas from 11am to 3pm from Wednesday to Friday,all funds raised will be donated to the Wisbech Childrens Charities.
