Halloween Trick or Treating Returns To The Horsefair

Due to the phenomenal success of last year’s Trick or Treat event,the Centre is preparing for a bigger and better afternoon of Halloween fun.

Youngsters can come along to the Centre’s Information Point at the bus station,collect a creepy map,their first treat and a goodie bag to collect their treats in.The map will direct them to 21 shops that will be waiting to be Trick or Treated.

The event is completely free for children under 15 years old,who must be accompanied by an adult and dressed in a Halloween themed costume.

Prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed boy and girl,the judging panel will consist of;The Mayor of Wisbech and the proprietor of the FX Fancy Dress Warehouse,judging will take place at 4pm outside Somerfield.

Youngsters will have an opportunity to have a 6×4 portrait photo taken by Kodak staff for a small charge,in their Halloween costume in front of the store’s scary Wall of Blood.

In addition,there will be some live action with CJ’s Birds of Prey,who will be bringing along “Talisker” a European Eagle Owl and “Saki” a Brown Asian Wood Owl.Plus youngsters can enjoy a free fairground ride and be wowed by The Sonic Manipulator-this spaceman-who will be performing his amazing music and light show.

Horsefair Manager,Kevin Smith said:”The Trick or Treat event we held last year was fantastic,we had a huge turn out and everyone who attended had a great time.The stores within the Centre have been really supportive and Booker Cash & Carry have donated some sweets for the day.The event is designed to offer youngsters a safe environment to Trick or Treat,rather than going out onto the streets at night.”

The event will run from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday,31st October at the Horsefair.
