Family Summer Fun At The Horsefair

The Centre has a whole host of free fun planned throughout the day on Monday, 23rd August between 10am and 2pm, for children and their families to enjoy.

Kids can scale the UK’s tallest supervised mobile climbing wall, standing at nine metres tall it is not for those who are scared of heights! Younger children can scale the special Baby Bouldering wall; both will be situated by the bus station.

Spider Mountain will be next to Boots and youngsters can enjoy scrambling through its web-like platforms to reach the top.

A face painter will be on hand to paint fun and wacky designs on faces, plus a balloon modeller will create all sorts of different creatures for kids.

“We’ve got some great entertainment planned for this year’s event, it’s fantastic that we are able to host free events for the local community,” said Horsefair Manager, Kevin Smith.

In addition, the local police force will carry out a public engagement day, giving visitors and shoppers an opportunity to speak them. Plus, members from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Northamptonshire Wildlife Trusts will have a stall at the centre where shoppers can find out more information about what they do.
