The event will take place between 10am and 2pm, on Wednesday, 21st August and the Centre will see the return of the popular 9m high climbing wall and smaller bouldering wall for youngsters of all ages to scale.

Other activities on the day include a free fairground ride; face painting, balloon modelling and Mr Rainbow will perform his Magical Summer Show at 11am and 1pm entertaining children and their families with a mixture of humour and magic tricks.

Youngsters will have an opportunity to take part in a Horse Hunt window competition to be in with a chance of winning some prizes; they can also have their photo taken with the Kodak store’s very own Donald Duck character at a cost of 99p for a 6×4 photo.

In addition, there will be other stalls attractions including craft workshops for all ages and a special performance from Kelly’s Dance Crew.

Speaking about the event, Horsefair Manager, Kevin Smith said: “I am really pleased to be celebrating the Centre’s 25th anniversary; there are a number of old photographs on display at the Centre showing the area as it was before the Horsefair was built and lots of people have commented on how they’ve enjoyed looking at them.

“The Summer fun day is always popular with families and I am hoping that this year’s event is no exception, we have got lots of fun and exciting attractions on offer and I am keeping my fingers crossed for good weather!”
