Crafty Art Festival Conundrum Hits Horsefair Stores
The festival, which runs from 22nd May – 4th June throughout the town is being organised and coordinated by volunteers based at Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House.
Various letters which make up one word will be dotted in store windows around the Horsefair Shopping Centre and anyone can guess the word by picking up an entry form from the Centre’s Kodak store. The conundrum will be on display at the Horsefair from Friday, 18th – Thursday, 31st May.
On Saturday, 2nd June the first correct entry drawn from a hat at the Centenary Green Fundraising Day, which is taking place next to Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House, will win £50 worth of Argos vouchers and will be awarded to the winner.
Horsefair Manager, Kevin Smith said: “A series of letters designed by local craftspeople will not only form the competition but will also be very interesting to look at and may even inspire people to into arts and crafts themselves.”
