Cracking down on crime at the Horsefair
The Centre’s Peacocks store has introduced a new ink tagging system, its stores across the country now use the device, which if removed, two sections of the permanent red ink smash and spill onto the garment and the hands.
Speaking about the new tags,Peacocks Store Manager said:”The tags have proved very effective so far. They were introduced to the store on the 1st December 2008 and by the end of the month losses were down 40 per cent compared to November.”
Horsefair Manager Kevin Smith added:”The introduction of the new tags is an excellent pro-active approach to combating shoplifting within the store.”
