A small team of screeners offered shoppers aged between 16 and 25 a quick confidential test to help identify this common sexually transmitted infection and treat it efficiently.

Zoe Garner, Chalmydia screening outreach team leader, said: “We received a fantastic response from those in the 16-25 age group and shoppers over that age who were pleased to see that we were offering this service to youngsters.”

Horsefair Centre Manager, Kevin Smith, said: “We are looking to offers shoppers this service again in the near future, the team members offered youngsters invaluable advice and I will be pleased to see them return to the Centre.”
