The Centre is calling on local gardeners and apple growers to enter their fruits into a competition,which aims to find the heaviest cooking apple in the area.

Apples will be weighed at the Apple Day stall located in the Market Place on Saturday,17th October from 9am and the winner will be announced at 1pm and will be awarded with an apple themed goodie hamper courtesy of the Centre’s Julian Graves store.

Speaking about the upcoming event,Horsefair Manager,Kevin Smith said:”Apple day is always a great celebration in Wisbech and the competition will bring some light-hearted fun for competitive gardeners in the town!”
