Run in conjunction with the town’s annual Apple Day celebrations,the competition received twelve entries,the winner of the heaviest apple went to local landlord,Cliff Paul (pictured left),whose Bramley apple weighed in at a hefty 1002g.

The Horsefair Manager,Kevin Smith (pictured right),presented Cliff with his prize,an apple themed hamper from the Centre’s Julian Graves store.

The event took place on Saturday,17th October.
