Improved Lighting For The Horsefair
The work, which will be carried out in the ground floor car park, will take a maximum period of five weeks to be completed.
The Horsefair’s car park will remain open whist the works are underway and disruption will be kept to a minimum. Some sections on the ground floor may be closed off for short periods of time to ensure work can be carried out safely and efficiently.
“As a Centre we are always looking at different ways to reduce energy consumption and the new lighting will certainly make it a lot more energy efficient, whilst creating a brighter environment for all users of the car park,” said Horsefair Manager, Kevin Smith.
The new lighting scheme will drastically reduce the amount of power used when the car park is closed, helping to reduce the centre’s overall levels of energy use, along with making a significant reduction in power usage during opening hours.
The Horsefair’s car park is free to use for up to two hours by displaying a ticket which can be collected from one of three machines within the car park. Those who use the long-stay parking bays on the top floor will be charged £1.00 for up to three hours or £3.50 to park all day – please remember to park in the appropriate parking bays.
