The card, which will be run by My Loyalty Card, would offer discounts in participating town centre businesses giving local residents incentives to ‘shop local’ and support high street businesses.

Horsefair Manager and President of the Wisbech & District Chamber of Commerce is fully supportive of the scheme. He said: “The scheme has been recommended to me by our managing agents, Workman Retail, after they have seen its success in other towns where they manage shopping centres and have supported the loyalty card. We’ve pledged to co-sponsor 25% of the total set up and on-going costs of the scheme.”

Stuart Hopkins of My Loyalty Card Ltd told is, “We are currently in the process of talking to other local businesses to secure the remaining sponsorship required to launch the scheme and this sponsorship would mean that participating businesses would have nothing to pay for their advertising and promotion through the scheme and the loyalty cards would be free to anyone who wants one. We are looking to launch the scheme early in February”.
